As a second generation architect, Ami was exposed to architecture since childhood.
After serving in the army, as an officer in one of Israel’s elite forces, he went on to study architecture and urban planning, in Israel Institute of Technology, the Technion, and graduated in 1983, granted outstanding honor.
He then joined his father’s prestigious firm, Moore Architects, and worked his way up to finally become a team manager, overseeing the firm’s major projects.
in 1989, as an award winning architect, Ami was appointed Head of east Tel Aviv city planning, and initiated major rezoning efforts that shaped the city’s future development.
In 1991Ami rejoined Moore architects as a leading designer, and formed Moore-Speakman International, a design and consulting partnership, with Mr. Leigh Speakman, one of the world’s leading shopping-center designers in those years, specializing in shopping centers design and consulting worldwide.
In 1995 Ami became the managing partner of Moore Architects, expanded into new markets worldwide, becoming A leading firm in large scale innovative projects in Israel and in Eastern Europe.
In 2005, Ami has merged Moore Architects with Yaski-Sivan Architects, establishing MYS Architects (Moore Yaski Sivan) to become Israel’s most prestigious and largest architectural firm to date, with a staff of more than 130 professionals, projects in over 30 countries mainly in Europe, Asia & Africa.
