Founder, Moshe Zur Architects and Town Planners Ltd
Current Position: Architect & Town Planner, Head Designer, Owner & COB – Moshe Tzur Architects & Town Planners Ltd.
Moshe was born at the same year of the establishment of the state of Israel, in 1948, as the sole son for his parents, Holocaust survivors.His special bond to the country and patriotism were the legacy of Moshes father.
Moshe has studied in Ort Technicum, Givatayim and graduated with merit every year.
In 1967, Moshe has joined the army and was instated at the naval planning department in Haifa, as the Navy architect. After his retirement in 1969, he started his studies at the faculty of Architecture and Town Planning, Technion – Israeli Institute of Technology, Haifa while graduating each year with honor.
In parallel to his studies, Moshe has worked in a teaching position at BASM”T engineering school, Haifa and in architecture firms.
In 1976, Moshe has established a private office together with a school colleague and in 1978 on his 30th birthday, he left the partnership for the purpose of establishing “Moshe Tzur Architects & Town Planners Ltd”. At first the firm specialized in public projects planning for the ministry of construction and housing but soon after, started the cooperation with entrepreneurs and private sector companies.
Along the years Moshe has awarded many prizes, among them the Rechter Prize for Architecture- Elbit Co. Building in the Matam Science Park, Haifa (at the year of 1988, when he was 40 years old).
As a result of Conscious Decision Making, Moshe decided his firm offering to be wide and cover all architecture planning aspects: residential, commercial, employment, public buildings, while each project the firm manages, launches on his office desk.
In 1985 Moshe joined the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology, Haifa and gained later on a Professor/Member of Faculty of Architecture. Moshe develop a new course regarding progressive technologies and led it for several years in the faculty.
20 years ago, Moshe has started the Israeli architectures breakthrough in Europe. So far he has managed projects over 31 countries, mainly in Europe, where he gained his reputation as a top Israeli Architect but also in Brazil and Thailand.
Orna, his wife was introduced to him while working as a student at Professor Mensfeld office, and they were never apart ever since. Orna is the mother of his twin sons and also a business partner for 30 years.
The office employs 70 architectures out of which 5 are partners, and handle simultaneously dozens of local and global projects while keeping Moshes long lasting establishment
