Shachar is Vice President of Acquisitions at Ashkenazy Acquisition Corp., a $12B New York-based real estate firm specializing in acquiring commercial assets in the United States and across the world. Shachar focuses on identifying investment opportunities across wide range of asset types and markets in North America and Europe. Shachar joined AAC following a successful career as VP of Acquisitions and Asset Management at PBC USA, the global arm of Property & Building Corp.; Israel’s largest real estate company ($5B AUM) where he focused on acquiring Class A office buildings in primary markets in the United States. Shachar started his career at Brack Capital where he built a multifamily investment and management platform in NYC and across the United States.
Shachar earned an MBA from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business, concentrating in Real Estate and Finance and a B.A in Business Management & Political Science from Haifa University.
Prior to graduate school, Shachar served as a Captain in the Israeli Navy where he held several combat leadership roles including Weapons Officer and Executive Officer on a missile ship and Head of the Navy Weapons School.
